Birkenstock/Gizeh style


I have been waiting for this day for so long and it is finally here!  A few months after I met my husband, he came over wearing a pair of Birkenstocks that he had since middle school, and you know what, they were still in great condition after 15 years!  I had been wanting a pair for a long time but for some reason, I just could not get myself to make the investment.  Finally, when I was 7 months pregnant with Ari Love, I could not fit into any of my shoes anymore and I happened to pass by a store during my morning beach stroll that sold them.  I bought my first pair right at that moment and have not looked back since then.  I have this style and I literally wear them with everything, dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, and no matter what, I always feel beautiful and so very comfortable.  I will say that they take some breaking in because the leather has to mold to your foot, so they may be a little hard to get used to initially.  But I promise you, once they are broken in, you will never want to take them off your feet.  I feel like this is the ideal sandal for a pregnant woman, and really, man or woman, everyone should own a pair.

Today, I am so excited to share an incredibly special giveaway to celebrate my new blog design!  I will be giving away a pair of Birkenstock sandals of your choice from these select styles and colors:

    AH! So crazy! I totally feel ya on hesitating with the Birkenstock investment. Later this summer, my husband and I are having our second interview with a missions organization to move to Germany next year, so I decided this would definitely be the year to support this German company.

    Definitely those beauties in the photos above: the Gizahs :D
